what is this?
whisper is an experiment in browser-native communication: sealed messages, peer sessions, and codecs with evolving state. a shared phrase can bring two browsers to the same rendezvous; ephemeral keys establish the session. messages, files, drawings, and voice stay encrypted in transit.
Whisper includes Harmonic audio and Lumen video codecs. in a live session, chat messages and files pass through Whisper Loop, which folds the adaptive codec state into each message-key derivation. drawings and Harmonic voice frames use a separate sealed channel. AES-GCM provides confidentiality and integrity; the 16D Kizuna witness participates in handshake confirmation rather than acting as a standalone cipher.
hide a secret inside an ordinary file if the situations arise; designed intentionally fragile. edit the file - even a little - and the secret dies with it.
connection services may help peers find or reach each other. they can see connection metadata, but message plaintext is encrypted before it reaches them. no account required. whisper to a friend across the open net.
